Meet The CEO & Chief Creative Director
​Dorcas Komolafe is the CEO and Chief Creative Director of Blockbuster Experience(formerly known as Dorcas Komo Event Decor).
She is fondly dubbed as the Design Boss.
​
She is a creative, charismatic, and powerful leader. And that is her way of being.
​
She wears many hats and a few of them are: being a wife, a blessed mother two amazing children, an entrepreneur, among others.
Most importantly, she is a Jesus' girl - every ability, talent and gift she has she owes to Him.
Her flair for designing, and styling has spanned over 20 years. In fact, the creative part of her has been dominant since childhood. As a teenager, she would create decoration items and accent pieces for Christmas seasons and other seasonal celebrations. She enjoyed moving furniture around to create a new feel and an ambience of elegance.
In 2019, she decided it was time she harnessed these crucial aspects of her creativity and shared it with the world.
She has not looked back since.
In 2005, she bagged her Bachelors in English and 5 years later she bagged her Masters in Communications, coupled with over 6 years work experience in customer service and office administration. Her training and educational background have framed the client-centred approach she adopts in her work.
Despite her team and she being highly talented, she invests in multiple quality trainings in balloon design and styling, drapery designs, tablescaping, flower arrangement, and interior styling. She ensures her team and she continues to receive top premium training to keep abreast of trends in the industries.
